Every August for the past 3 years, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Quinn and her family. This year, Quinn turned 3 and unfortunately, I missed her party due to my own birthday celebrations (I turned 30 and spent the weekend in Montauk) but I made sure to come back early enough to photograph her family the Sunday after the festivities.

Being an end-of-summer-child myself, I will say there is something magical about this time of year. The weather is generally not as unbearable as it is in July and early August and most, if not all of your friends have returned from vacation due to all that is the dreaded academic calendar. 

Documenting Quinn’s life has been a privilege and bearing witness to the magnificent connection that she and her parents have makes my heart grow three times big, every time. I get especially sentimental when seeing how Quinn and her mother relate; it makes me think about my mother and how much I miss her.

As summer is slowly but surely ending and fall vibes undoubtedly upon us, I wanted to take this time to mention that I am available for family portrait sessions in Prospect Park on select weekends this month and in October.
